What Crossed Quills costs
$14.95 a month gets you 2 letters. That works out to $7.48 a letter, posted to your door.

Three ways to pay
Choose a plan
Same letters, same schedule. The difference is whether you pay as you go, pay once, or pay once and get something to keep the letters in.
Monthly
$14.95 / month
2 letters every month for 12 months.
$7.48 per letter, billed month to month.
Full series, prepaid
$155
All 24 letters across 12 months, paid once.
$6.46 per letter, which keeps $24.40 against the monthly rate — 13% less.
The Keepsake Edition
$199
Everything in the prepaid year, plus $44 for the box, the seal and the map.
$8.29 per letter, paid once.
- A lidded keepsake box sized to hold all 24 letters. Letter 1 arrives inside it.
- A Crossed Quills wax seal stamp, with sealing wax.
- An 11x17 print of the Solmere/Umbravale borderlands map.
Prices are provisional while Series 1 is in production. Buying for someone else works differently, and the terms are on the gift page.

What a month looks like
Two envelopes, spaced out. The gap between them is deliberate, because the wait is part of how the story lands.
Letter one
Early in the month
One correspondent writes. You get their side of whatever just happened.
The gap
A couple of weeks
Long enough to sit with it. This is the part a book cannot do.
Letter two
Later in the month
The reply arrives, and it usually complicates things.
Letters mail on the Friday of the second and fourth weeks of each month. Order cut-offs are the 1st and the 15th — order before the 15th and you're in that month's second mailing; order after the 15th and you're in the first mailing of the month after.

When letters ship and where
Letters go out on a fixed schedule rather than on the date you subscribed, so every subscriber is reading the same letter at roughly the same time.
First mailing
The first letter of The Phoenix Letters mails on Friday, February 12, 2027.
Where we post to
We mail within the United States, and postage is included in the price. International shipping is coming — join the list and we'll tell you the moment it opens.
No lock-in
How stopping works
The monthly plan is a subscription you control. The prepaid plans are single purchases rather than subscriptions, so there is nothing recurring to stop.
Cancel any time. Changes made by the 1st or the 15th apply to that mailing. If you're not happy with the story within 30 days, we'll refund you in full — and you keep any letters that have already arrived. After 30 days, monthly payments already taken aren't refunded, but the letters they cover still come. Prepaid subscriptions are prorated for up to 60 days.
