Reviews
There are no reviews yet
That is the honest answer. The Phoenix Letters has not been posted to anyone, so nobody has received a letter, and nobody can tell you what it was like to open one.
We would rather say that plainly than fill this page with quotes nobody said.
Where things stand
What is actually true today
If you are trying to work out whether this is real before you hand over an email address, here is everything we can state without stretching it.
Status
Not yet mailed
Series 1 is in production. The first letter of The Phoenix Letters mails on Friday, February 12, 2027.
Subscribers
No count to give
We are not going to print a number to make this look busier than it is. The waiting list is open and that is all it is.
Press
None
No coverage, no features, no partnerships. If that changes, it will appear here with a link you can check.
What goes here later
What we will publish, and what we will not
When letters have landed and readers have opinions, this page fills up. Some rules for when it does.
Reviews from people who paid
Only from subscribers who actually received letters. Attributed, dated, and unedited apart from length.
The criticism too
If the paper disappoints or a letter runs late, that will be here alongside the good ones. A page of nothing but praise is not worth reading.
No incentivised quotes
Nobody gets a discount for saying something nice. A review bought with a coupon is an advert.
No star ratings until they mean something
An average built from four responses is noise. Ratings appear when there is enough volume to be honest.
Be first
The first reviews will come from the waiting list
The people who join now are the ones who will have read Letter One before anyone else. If you want to be the reader whose words end up on this page, that is how it happens.
Before you decide, it is worth reading what the letters actually contain on the home page, what it costs on plans and pricing, or the specifics in the FAQ.
Be among the first to review Crossed Quills
Join the waiting list. When Series 1 posts, you will be reading it early enough to have the first word on it.
